Wildfire Expeditions is undertaking our maiden trip to East Africa, where we will hike Mt Kenya followed by the Rwenzori mountains (also called the Mountains of the Moon) in Uganda for 2 weeks in August.
Point Lenana is the highest trekking peak of Mt Kenya and the route by which we hike will be the Chogoria-Sirimon route, arguably the most scenic.

Pickup @ 8am from Nairobi hotel for transfer to Chogoria. Lunch in town. 10km of trekking on Day 1
Day 2 – 3
Hiking along the Gorges Valley away from the main routes to gorgeous views and acclimatizing along the way.
Pre-dawn summit attempt to Point Lenana where the day starts at 0300.
Descend to Sirimon Park gate and transfer back to Nairobi circa 6pm.
Early international flight to Entebbe. Pickup at Entebbe airport for a private car transfer to Kasese. Overnight in Kasese.
Briefing at Kasese by the guides at 8am prior to trek start in the Rwenzori mountains.
Hike to Mutinda Camp with a chance to summit Mutinda lookout in the afternoon (3,975m)
Hike to Buguta camp at 4,100m
Summit attempt to Weismann Peak (4,620m)
Descend to Kilembe. Private car transfer to Fortportal. Overnight at Fortportal
Early morning private car transfer to Entebbe airport. Flight to Nairobi.
